CME
Arbitration Guide

CME charges a filing fee and a hearing fee based on the dollar amount being claimed (excluding requests for punitive damages, interest, and/or costs). Each party making a claim, counterclaim, cross-claim, or third-party claim will be required to submit the appropriate filing fee and hearing fee based on the dollar amount being claimed pursuant to the schedule below. Both fees are due at the time a claim, counterclaim, cross-claim, or third-party claim is submitted to CME. Filing fees are non-refundable. Hearing fees apply to oral hearings before an Arbitration Committee panel, and also to claims under $5,000 that are decided without an oral hearing based on the written pleadings of the parties. Hearing fees will be refunded if the case is settled or withdrawn at least ten days before either the first scheduled hearing date or, for claims under $5,000, the date scheduled for a decision on the matter.
