About CME Weekly Weather Futures

The underlying indexes for CME Weekly Weather futures and options on futures will be calculated by MDA Federal, a weather historical data provider that supplies the CME with its historical weather data. This weather data is used for final settlement.

For all CME Weather traded products, the futures products are listed on CME Globex® and the options are available in the CME trading floor. In addition, all products are eligible for block trading. For information on CME Weather Block trading click here.

CME Weekly Weather futures will trade on CME Globex® from 5:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. the following day Chicago time and options on weekly weather futures will be available for trading 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Chicago time on the CME trading floor.
