About CME US Monthly Weather Cooling Degree Day Futures
Due to tremendous growth for the CME® Weather products in 2005, CME has added three new cities (Salt Lake City, Baltimore and Detroit) to the current monthly and seasonal products. This brings the number of tradable monthly and seasonal futures and options on futures contracts to 18. The new cities will have the same contract specifications and trading hours and will enable customers’ abilities to hedge their weather risk in new sections of the country.
