About CME Futures on S&P 500 Depositary Receipts Futures

Contract Size
The size of one CME futures on Standard & Poor's 500 Depositary Receipts® equals 100 shares of the S&P Depositary Receipts. The contract is listed two months out in the March quarterly cycle and two serial months. Additionally, the contract trades in ticks of: 0.01=$1.00

Underlying Index
The underlying ETF is comprised of stocks in the S&P 500® Composite Index and trades about 45 million shares per day on the American Stock Exchange (AMEX) as well as on electronic communication networks (ECNs). The annual expense ratio is 10 basis points.

(Note: There is another ETF based on the S&P 500: the iShares S&P 500®, for which Barclays Global Investors is the custodial bank. The futures contract launched by CME, however, is based on the SSgA product- SPY).
