About CME Milk Class III Futures

Hedgers and traders watch factors affecting milk production and the cheese cash market for pricing indicators.

The CME Class III Milk contract is extremely "user-friendly" to trade and as of February 27, 2006, will also be available electronically on the CME Globex trading platform. The electronic and floor-traded contracts are completely fungible, although the first 12 contract months only are available for trading on the CME Globex trading platform. Trading hours for both venues are the same, but the electronic trading symbol - DC - is different from the floor-traded symbol. Customers will also benefit from market makers who will provide two-sided liquidity for the electronic CME Class III Milk contracts.
