Clearing Membership

A completed clearing membership application, along with the assignment applications, should be submitted to the Audit Department, which will review all clearing member applicants. The application process takes approximately four to six weeks.

The Clearing House Risk Committee reviews applicants and makes recommendations for clearing membership. Applicants are elected to membership by the Board of Directors.

In addition, individuals in whose names memberships are held for the applicant must apply for individual membership status if they are not current members of the Exchange. This process takes approximately four to six weeks and should occur concurrently with the clearing membership application process.
