Participating in CME Globex® Markets
CME Globex, the state-of-the-art electronic trading platform, is the destination for trading
many of the world's leading derivatives products, including Eurodollars, E-mini® S&P 500®,
E-mini NASDAQ-100® and the CME Group FX product suite. For further information, see
CME Globex
Products and
Fees. A complete list of CME Globex
products may be found
here.
Once orders for products listed on CME Globex are placed by customers through connected
front-end applications worldwide, they are immediately received and acknowledged. After the orders
are matched at the CME Globex trading engine, match/fill information is immediately disseminated to
the trading parties, the CME Clearing House, and the market at large. The CME Globex Trading
Process depicts an overview of the electronic trading process.
Membership requirements for CME Globex were eliminated in 2000, giving trading access to CME
Globex products to virtually everyone. There are only two basic requirements for trading on
CME Globex:
-
An account with a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) or Introducing Broker (IB), who in turn
has a CME Clearing House guarantee.
-
Access to a CME Globex front-end system that is CME-certified.
CME's Find A Broker program lets you search for a registered futures broker by market type,
location or broker name. The CME links below can help in opening an account with a futures broker
that meets your needs.
